I know this isn't the same thing just to point out differences, our TK refrigerated units go well over 30,000 hours with 1000 hour oil changes.
They operate in a very under stressed life getting looked at weekly, 2 liter diesels making 25-30 hp. Thought you might find this interesting.

It's the difference in application. Constant, steady load at a set RPM. Like s gen set. Engines that drive gen sets will run for tens of thousands of hours without needing rebuilt. Plus, nice clean work environment. Not stirring up dust with spinning blades, varying RPM and load. This is nothing new to an engine guy. Just like you do better running a marathon at a set pace, instead of running all out for a while, then walking a while.... an engine will run a long time at a set pace, set load.

Thats how I won a wall full of trophys for the 100 yard shotput-hurdles dash.

Looks like you got a good deal There! The engine alone has to be worth 150! Congratz!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
