Will a 335 bagger fit a 54" deck?
I know where there is a 335 bagger from an 1862 with a 46" deck. Will this fit the 54" deck on my 1864? I can't seem to find anything but the fan assisted bagger listed for the 1864.

The discharge opening on the 54" deck is much larger than the 46" deck so the boot wouldn't work.
I don't know if the 54" deck has enough poop to kick the clippings up into the bagger. The 46" works well for that.

What Mike and Rescue said is correct. I have a 54" deck on my 1864. I also have a discharge chute purchased with my Trac Vac that has a 6" round discharge. Using a MTD grass collection system, the grass never quite made it into the bags without clogging in the tube to the bags. I tried a custom mower blade with larger turned up ends, but no real improvement in clogging. I abandoned the bagging system.

Is the 46" deck what they called a high vacuum deck and would it blow the grass into the bagger very much better? Maybe I should see if it is for sale too. I would rather find a Trac-Vac, but you almost never see them for sale around here. When you do find them, they are too expensive for just once or twice a year use.

I have a lot of leaves and it's the best money I every spent on anything. I had 5-6 tractors with the 46" deck and thought they were great. They were until I tried the later 48"54" decks and they do a much better job of leaving a good looking cut on the lawn so I changed them all over to the 48/54 decks except for the one dedicated tractor to leaf duty.
