Default Snow blower

A friend of mine gave me this blower. Can this be made to work in a 169?

It's hard to tell exactly which model that is but I wouldn't even try. You'll need a different PTO altogether (larger diameter and groove size), there isn't a lift bracket for the 149 that would work with that blower, and the 149 would be hard pressed to run that big heavy monster of a blower. Best bet is to sell it and find the right one for your machine (QA36A or QA42A).

I have a Haban H42 (very similar to a QA42), that I would trade for it.

Umm, hold on, I am not sure if the 169 is a wide frame or narrow?

I do not believe the H42 will work on a narrow frame.

If it would work and if you are interested, we could explore shipping through Fastenall?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
