Snow Blade 1641
Well I did get a snow blade for my 1641. Works great.
Can't stand gettin' up just to angle the blade; left or right. No front hydraulics. Anyone ever fab a manual setup to angle the blade from the driver's seat?

The 1641 uses a Hydro Gear (HG) Hydro-static Transmission. If it is anything like the Sundstrand, it would have to be a "ported" transmission to utilize an extra hydraulic circuit. I am not familiar with HG and don't know if there is a "ported" transmission alternative.

Thanks Roland, I've had, for the most part, gear drive garden tractors.
I'm thinking, "Perhaps an electric linear actuator?" Anyone have plans for this project? Or a manual blade angle setup?

You could add an extra valve and front hydraulics then put a ram on the blade. Try the sponsors to see if you can find the parts to do it.

Member CADplans put a manual angle gravely or wheel horse blade on his 1000, although I can't find the thread. Since it mounts similar to your 1641, maybe you can pm him and ask how difficult it was to make fit.

Getting ready for nasty white junque.
Decided to use an electric actuator salvaged from a Simplicity 3-point hitch. The actuator tested, can raise the tractor rear tires off the floor. More than enough power to angle a blade and hold same in place.

The Craftsman blade I just got rid of had a long handle with a trigger that used a cable to release the lock on the angle, then I guess you would go forward or back to get the angle you wanted and release the trigger, pretty simple

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
