Custom Driveline Outlook
Ok, I gathered information and measurements about making a new driveline from 4140 CM tool steel. The new will have a double flex disk at both driveline ends. The conclusion seems to be a simple procedure. First, here are my measurements for both components:
Single flex disk driveline: 1. Length = 18 5/8ths inches. 2. Shaft diameter recorded in four places, average = .626" . 3. Distance from rear of driveline -to - center of rear coupling hole: caliper measure = 1.098". Tape measure = 1 1/16th inch to 1 1/8th inch. Might be closer to 1 3/32 inch. 4. Distance from front of driveline -to- center of front coupling hole: caliper measure = 1.508". Tape measure = 1 1/2" inch. Double flex disk driveline: 1. Length = 18 5/8ths inches. 2. Shaft diameter = .627". 3. Distance from rear of driveline -to- center of rear coupling hole: caliper measure = 1.223". Tape measure = 1 1/4" inch. * Note: Maybe a closer measure of 1 15/64 inch. 4. Distance from front of driveline -to- center of front coupling hole: caliper measure = 1.200". Tape measure = 1 3/16ths -to- 1 1/4". A closer measure could be 1 13/64". New driveline details: 1. Diameter = .624". 2. Purchased in a 3' length.

Note the hole locations shown below. The first picture is of the rear coupling hole locations. The single disk is on your left, and the double disk on the right:

Longer carriage bolts needed
For the front double disk driveline coupling, there will need to be a replacement of the current factory single disk carriage blots for longer carriage bolts of the correct length. The current single disk carriage bolts are:
1. Length = 1.182". 2. Diameter = .367". Note: I have the new Triangle drive flange included in the above picture of the double disk driveline mock -up. **Note: I will install the k321aqs, and place the mock double disk driveline into the 1450. I'm not certain I have the front couple hole location figured out 100% because of the minimal difference in the rear coupler hole locations. Still in the information gathering process.

Also today, I got the hydro controls hooked up, along with the brake rod. I will adjust the brakes a little later. Got the rear back up light on, and the fender pan.
[/IMG] Its a bummer I don't have a good painting set up. Or I would have took the good old time making it look all pretty Got other tractors to get going on anyway!

On another note: I decided to drop the tool room guy at work for the driveline service I thought I needed. Oak gave me a great idea, why not just use my good coupling to piolet the hole center in my new driveline? My drill press is at least a $200 pos, that also can do lathe work! Anyway, my couplings front and rear, look good enough, so I'm not concerned about doing a 100% police correct driveline replacement.
