Had Jeeps since I was 15. Have a 46 CJ2A, a 60 CJ3B under construction, and a 99 TJ that we pull behind the motorhome. Had a FC170 with a plow on it in the early 80's.

very nice machine there! that's too bad all those other jeeps went to scrap, he could have made a buck on just parting them for sure, as i am finding out

This cab is very hurt, i will start working on repairing it come spring time, hopefully i can find another cab by then and just replace it, as this one doesn't have a good panel on it. the floor is gone on both sides, cab corners are gone, no doors, front and rear glass were shot at in the past, i guess i have a thing for decrepit machinery

One of my father's cj2s has an overdrive like that, and he loves it! It's a newer addition to the collection, I haven't had a chance to drive that one yet. It also has larger brakes, which I'm sure is critical with the extra speed! I don't remember any of the others ever having good brakes, or any at all for that matter.

Back in the day I had a Jeepster Commando with the Buick V6 like the one in the pic. Couldn't keep a rear end in it. Traded it in for an IH Scout with the 304 and auto trans.

That was a pic from the internet. My Jeep had mags and big tires, probably why I couldn't keep a ring and pinion in it. That and I had the V-6 juiced up. LOL

I live 10 miles from where they are made but never owned one. I had an aunt that worked there for 40 years before retiring about 40 years ago. Funny how so many parts made their way our of there.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
