Anyone here into old Jeep Willys?
I was turned onto them by my friend, and i got my first jeep FC-170 this weekend. It's very rough to say the least, but sweet It is a 3/4 ton model, straight 6 super hurricane motor paired to a spicer t98 transmission. Mine is missing the Dana 18 transfer case, but it shares the same power train as some willys jeeps, trucks, and wagons so i should be able to find one. Or, maybe i will transplant a 4BT into this sucker
(yes that is a cub in the background, i will post about that later on) |

My family has always been a jeep family, I myself have an 06 tj as my daily driver but I grew up with my dad's collection: 3 50's era CJ-5's, and 4 CJ-2a's. The 56 CJ5 and I had a love-hate relationship, I loved it but it would NEVER start for me when I needed to plow the driveway with it. As soon as my dad showed up, it would fire right up ( I was following the exact same starting procedure FWIW, making it particularly infuriating) but the cj-2s would always fire up immediately for work or play, whatever the weather! I'd love to find an old FC and a Willy's wagon too, but I love my wrangler for now and my 78' dodge ramcharger too!

Nice FC! A guy down the road from us has a few, and a couple Willys pickups. I have a 89 YJ with a Mercedes diesel, my brother is into the Willys. This is his CJ 2A, we took it for a ride on the parkway this year.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
