Default Which events are the best for....

Which events are the best for finding tractors and implements at a fair price? Are some events better "shows" and others better places top buy/sell? I am in PA, near Gettysburg, and this Spring I will be looking for some stuff---true 3 point hitch, box blade, snow blower all to fit a 782. Where is my best place to find all this?

To be honest it seems like prices are high at most shows I go to, venders have to pay to be there so they inflat there prices to cover those costs.

Shows are always enjoyable to attend, but local ads, Craigs list and even Evil Pray are also possibilities

Local auctions can be good too, but just depends on how bad other people want what you're bidding on.

Welcome to OCC

Some vendors go to area shows so it is possible to make your purchase at an agreed to price and pick it up at the show.

If you need parts, I make some too

(continued from page 2).....

Here, on this site, in the Trading Post section is also and excellent place for finding parts. Just post an add in the "Wanted" section and maybe someone will contact you with your desired needed part(s) and then you can come to an amicable arrangement!

One of the more popular places in my area is Portland, Indiana Small Engine Show in the month of August--This year, the featured tractor is International Harvester!!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
