My wife makes fun of me for being on a "lawnmower forum". She finally gave up on me joining Facebook. I see Facebook as a 24hr buffet for people who feed on BS and drama.

Internet is a huge "Human meat market" many desperate woman who "Sell" themselves like a piece of meat on meeting site. Most of them have been or "feel" severely abused by their EX so you better past a polygraph if you want to get any normal human contact with those.
Don't you regret the old time wen peoples use to talk to each other and get out to meet someone?

My wife has a Pontiac Vibe and there is a genvibe forum that I visit when I need to do repairs that I'm just clueless about, but I couldn't care less about contributing other than to look up repair advice.

Don't do it either!!
Porches, and sidewalks back in the day when folks walked in the evening was the "facebook" thing when I was a kid. Next time you drive through a small town, look around, you will see many older houses and most all will have front porches that got a lot of use back then. Face to face visiting is a becoming a lost art. How many of you know your neighbors and could count on them should the need arise? |

I live in a small town and know my neighbors and could probably count on them but for the most part they count on me. The 1250 clears most of their drives and sidewalks. I hate Facebook. The wife loves it.

BUT there are a lot of sites on FB that deal with cub cadets & related material. It's fun to see what projects people are doing, posting photos of them, and being able to get and sell parts, etc.

I joined up on facebook awhile back because the stepson was all over Afghanistan and Iraq the last how many years to keep in contact with him. He would do a general post so the entire family could see how he was doing.
Now that he's home I deleted all friends, but still keep it open just in case. But man seeing it's open there are people I couldn't stand to be around, and didn't care much for me either from back in school (35+ years ago) that now want to be friends... Yeah right. I've got an account with them, but no friends, and I like it thata way.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
