My "fun" afternoon....
It has been pouring rain here for the better of like 3 days. I think we've gotten somewhere in the neighborhood of 7". One of the drivers today was, in his own description, trying to avoid the "potholes" in the road when he ran off the edge at a very bad spot. Right between two ponds, where the embankment was very steep. Hope I'm not breaking any rules (of my company) posting this, but I had to share. It was an "eventful" afternoon.
On a separate note, I am looking forward to the bill for a winch truck, backhoe and the crane that I (glad it's not "me" paying) had to hire, and repair of the yard and private drive..... I'm sure it will be more than that particular customer will ever make us.... in 100 years. 20151228_145543.jpg |

We all do......
I'm not convinced that's how it all went down anyway. I saw the tracks leading off the road. Doesn't look to me like he had his eyes on the road.... I'll leave it at that. |

Hope he didn't lose his load.....of his truck, but he may need to change his shorts! Wow.....thank goodness he didn't hit that pothole, it could have been devastating.

Best part was.... raining most of the time we were out there. Quit raining for a while when we got it out. But it was really coming down for most of it. Not torrential downpour.... but hard.

Maybe a texthole? A driver at work rear ended a stopped school bus at a railroad crossing on the highway. Reaching for his coffee cup. I believe him.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
