Hello All!
Hey everyone! Real excited to be on here. Buying my first cub on Saturday morning. Have a friend who was passed down a 149 from a grand parent. He has to move to the west coast and knowing I love that tractor he’s going to sell it to me. I’m looking forward to making it all nice and pretty again as it deserves! My day job is restoring old cars so I plan to give the cub the full treatment. Again really happy to be apart of this group, looking forward to learning more about a road untraveled!

Well, I left around 5:30 this morning loaded up some ramps in my van and high tailed it to Massachusetts and I have to say it looks to be $200 well spent! Got the plow and mow deck with it. It’s in really good shape a few little odds and ends to be repaired ect. A little paint and this thing should look sharp. I will post pictures on here as soon as I can figure out how.

Hello All
I am a new Cubby, as well. Just purchased one that has been a bit neglected over the years. I do not have the automotive experience that you have but certainly look forward to renewing my own. It is a 105.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
