Default Subsoil plow

I wanted to replace some old drainage pipe along the edge of the driveway. Saw a few examples online about using subsoil plow to loosen up dirt. Also saw a build using a scraper from a box blade. That is where the project started. Took a 18" box blade scraper from TSC and a receiver hitch and built a new tool that attaches to my log hauler. The parts fit right into the 2" receiver hitch on the log hauler.

It took multiple passes but I was able to dig down 14-15 inches. Actually pulled out some pretty big rocks. Was going to shovel out the ditch tonight but rains moved in.

Results! Next step shovel out dirt or maybe another build. Suggestions or ideas?

I have to say these cubs are impressive machines. I wouldn't say I abuse them but I do work them hard. They just keep working!

Nice job on the sub-soiler.

I found it's much easier to buy a backhoe than build one. Lol

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
