2011 Gardens
Here's a pic of my garden this year. I planted 12 Roma tomato plants, 6 early girls, 12 jalapeno peppers, 6 sweet bananas, 3 zucchini and 6 eggplants. The tomatos and peppers are polluted with fruit this year. My wife planted some sunflowers in the backround that are getting big. After a few years of planting, we decided on only planting what we can use. We'll freeze the tomatos for sauce throughout the winter. I smoke the jalapenos, dehydrate them and then put them in a spice grinder for chili powder. The zucchini and eggplants we'll eat as they ripen.

Thanks! I was smoking some baby back ribs on my Big Green Egg yesterday and threw a few jalapenos on. They were delicious, but one (or two) were way up on the heat scale. I had to get a towel to wipe off the sweat I got the garden in late this year, due to all the wet spring weather we had. The ground really wasn't as dry as I would have liked it when I tilled it up the the 982/442, but the plants seem to be doing well. Late this week or early next week, I should be picking a lot of tomatoes.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
