Tim I just upgraded the muffler bearings to heavy duty stainless steel on my 1572, so next year at PA plow day I'll be pulling one of those 21 bottoms too. I also put filtered air in the rear tires.

I was at that plow day to see that (but not my video). The ground was super hard and dry that day. My brother's Farmall H and two bottom genius plow struggled a lot- did a lot of plowing in granny (1st) gear. The big bud only did about two passes- one up and down- and that was it.

I was driving along on us 20 on on my way back from a tractor show that early evening and stopped and snapped a few pix's.
---Even posted them here for you guys to drool over last year.
I considered myself very lucky to be there to see it in person, as I knew nothing about it being there.
To stand there, up close and personal, was very impressive.
I wished I was able to have witnessed it in operation.
Can you imagine what our ancestors that used a horse or mule would think?
We have come so far, just in my generation.

My grandfather bought this place in '42. The farm next door was for sale also but he didn't have any more money to buy land--but my grandmother did. My uncle was plowing one of the fields and broke 3 plow points one day (horse drawn). He told her she could buy it if she wanted but not to expect him to tend it. So she left the $3000 for the 40 acres in the bank. My family rented the farm instead for the next 50 years. To be fair to my uncle, they had just moved here from soil so sandy and rock free that our red clay and racks was quite a culture shock (they only moved about 10 miles). I actually found a broken horse drawn plow point this spring in one of our fields.
