No worries. Im just glad to add to the allready extensive knowhow on this forum board. I have been browsing for a long time. There are a few websites that were ok, but this one worked and fit what I was looking for. Im actually going to try zinc plating. It was talked about and illistrated on one of the members cud page, Matts Cub page. http://mgonitzke.net16.net/
Im not sure how this is going to work for me, but im allways willing to learn and try new tricks, and technics. Hopfully, this cub will be wrapped up by the end of April, if not middle of May. I found some decals, steering wheel cap, and some wheel weights. Id love to add a creeper gear, but they are so $$$$$. I have a old sears 3 point I think will be on this once its all done. |

slow, but steady
Been working on this cub, and all the small parts.
Here are the foot pads before a soak and after. Spindles, grill straps and steering linkage. I think I need a new driveshaft?????? Not sure why the engine was painted red over the yellow? Hope to have everything ready to paint by the 20th |

Just started on the last three items before I can get the paint a flying.
I figured that I would just use a 55 gal drum, five T post and some baling wire to tie tie all five together. In goes the tower. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
