Default Look what the cat dragged in

I picked up a 1200, and 1315, and 1320 as a package deal for $100. The 1200 looked pretty rough but the gear box feels good and stiff and the engine turned by hand. I cleaned the carb which was full of black tar like substance from sitting for so long with old gas in it. The starter gear was stuck engaged, and the points cover was missing so the points were a mess. Cleaned it all up and she runs and sounds good. The hood nose is broken that’s why the hood is off, and the seat is missing. Other than that it’s pretty much complete.

I see the cat has big wiska's, nice find for 100.00. The others have parts that can be used on a 782D and a 882, how are the others?

The other two are decent. They’re LT’s with vertical shaft Kohler Command engines. I haven’t messed with them yet. The 1320 has a bad hydro. The 1315 is missing the gear shift. What can be used for a 782d or 882?

Probably that’s the entire list.

I did grab the voltage regulator off one of them for the 1200 because it was missing one. So that was interchangeable.

I’m looking it over because there’s a wobble in the drive line. The rear part is solid. It looks like it’s from the clutch. I unbolted the engine (two bolts were missing) and slid the engine forward. Looks like the three pin driver is cracked.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
