Default Charging problem Cub Cadet 1515 (MTD)

CC MN:1515, MTD NM: 13A-201F100, SN: 1C22H20487. Kohler CV15$-41612, SN: 3207807161. Idiot light for charging staying on. Battery before starting 12.96 volts after starting 14.08 @ 3600 rpms. With regulator connector removed running @ 3600 45 AC volts. Resistance across stator leads 0.00. Resistance to each stator leads to ground 0.00. B+ with engine running @ 3600 14.65 DC volts. Good ground to regulator and engine. Any ideas/suggestions greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time. Don B. P.S. Can anyone tell me what year this Lt is?

Sounds like everything is working good. Off the top of my head, and not having a wiring diagram in front of me, I am thinking a bad wire or wire connection to the Indicator Light.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
