Default 1963 Pennsylvania Panzy Mower

Saw this out there and thought it was pretty neat and in pretty nice shape for its age. No, it is not a cub, but still kinda cool. I know nothing about these little guys, but maybe someone out there can give it a good, new home!

I've been tempted to get this one but I have way too many projects now.

The design and color of them has always been cool to me, very different. I like the bench seat. I had a chance to buy a restored one for 700. Neat for the shows. The deck resembles an O timed deck, just cool

I agree, those are neat little machines. I just do not know how much of a fan I would be of sitting on top of that engine in the hot summer time while mowing the yard. Notice the round fenders on the earlier one and the squared off fenders on the one 1967 model that Oak posted....just around the time that IH changed from round fenders to square ones!

They use an 8 3/4 mopar rear end in them. So i think the diff is a little stronger than a cub.

And no problems with the Cub rear ends here!

It's a wonderful garden tractor. Got to love the 90* gear boxes for each deck blade too. But, compare it to the mighty Original, and this Panzer looks like something you'd expect to see, maybe in the late 50's.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
