I found another project!!
I found this over in the middle of the thumb this afternoon.
AND it even came with toys! The story is that this 1650 has sat for about 5 years. It stopped being used because the front seal was leaking and it started to develop metal shaving in the oil. The lift control is stuck along with the choke cable and I'm not sure what else yet! For whatever reason, the PO took the cover off the points BUT didn't lose it! It just came seperate along with manuals for the tractor, mower and tiller. The belly mower is in pretty rough shape but I am super excited about getting the tiller and the lift! This will probably be a long project and I'll have tons of questions but I am looking foward to it along with sharing and learning from this site.

Wow, you scored big on this. The tractor is very nice and the extras are icing on the cake! I want a tiller and a snow blower for my 1450.

Here is tonights Progress.
The motor is heading up to a friends shop to be checked out. I eventually want to learn how to do my own motors but I guess right now is not the time! From what I have read on here, the mounts were about what I expected. Do you think I can use the two that look pretty good? Or should they all be replaced? I did NOT expect to see the fan in this shape! It looks like someone had their fingers in the wiring, however. I probably should try to trace it out and make sure that it is up to snuff.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
