Default Got the "IH" mini bike out

Grandkid (Jack) is coming up for the weekend, and he thinks he's big enough now to handle it. Cause his sister was riding it at his age, we'll see.
So I got it out of the barn, cleaned it up, and running today. Should be an interesting weekend with Jack...

I remember him posting pics of it before.

My cousin and I found a mini bike frame in the woods when we were younger, it looked exactly like that. The crazy lawn mower guy down the road from me has about 10 mini bikes in the woods, maybe I need to take a closer look next time I'm there.

It's from the 60's sometime.
Tim, put your tinker cap on, you could come up with something pretty cool I'm sure.
Will do Allen.

Not this one Beth. I bought it a couple years ago. Saw it in a corn crib while picking up a tractor. Thought the kids would have fun with it. So I went through it, and made it into a "IH" mini bike for chits and grins.

Neat little bike Todd!! I remember looking at some similar in the Sears catalog as a kid... wanted one real bad.. it never happened though.. Dad got me a Cadet 60 and geared it up a bit.. guess it might have run 12 or 13 mph... that thing was MINT back then.. kinda wished I had it back!
We called it the MOW CART!

Hope the kiddo has fun with it!

It was all for not. He's just not responsible enough, little to "cocky", and not wanting to listen. So it goes back in the barn till August, when his sister comes up.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
