Drug home some more!
I've been wanting another Original for a while. I finally had a chance and ended up with 2.
Got these on Thursday and got this one running on Friday. This one needs a wiring harness and some other things. Carb float for sure as I had to steal it for the other one. My Originals My display at our local show a couple weeks ago. That's where I got the Cubs. From the same guy I got my 127 from actually.

Woo Hoo!
I know some of the other guys don't care too much for the Originals... But I think they are about my favorite, I hope someday to own a one with a low serial number even though one of my life long rules is: Never buy a first production year ANYTHING!!! You have a nice looking group there. Cept I don't really dig the "competition" racing stripes too much. Looks like the hood on that one is pretty straight though... Good job! |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
