107 Hr meter
I just picked up a 107 that needs some love to say the least. I see that there is an Hr meter on it .Is this correct? I don't see it in the wiring diagram. If it's original when did they start this, or was it an option.

After manually resizing my pic I can load this pic and ask my question. So here we go,what are the holes in the steering tower of my 126 for if not an hr meter like in my 107.

Could be the same type of tower used universally by IH for their hydro and gear drive tractor, and/or a PO fix if the original tower was too rusty or damaged? just throwing some things out there as a guess. The four holes like that hold the hydro lever in place on my 123.

The same dash tower is used on both the gear drive and hydro models.

IIRC, some of the prototype originals had Hobbs hour meters in them on the side of the pedestal. The 169 would've been the first production cub to come from the factory with an hour meter as WildBill stated. Some of the earlier cubs had ammeters added, so maybe this one had an hour meter added. Looks like a well done addition, not all cobbled. Nice 107!
By the look of the hour meter, 1437hrs, its been on there awhile!

107/106?
We can see the shifter yet it's decal says 107 on the dash cowl? No Kind/Codes was used at the time of production on the 1X6,1X7 series to do a correct identification. As others have stated the four holes was for the hydro lever assembly to mount inside the tower. I had a 125/4 one time. A retired puller; originally was a 125 then removed the hydro and installed a manual shift,yet the 125 decals remained...I bought the tractor this way.

The pic's that i have put in this thread are of 2 different tractor's a 107 with the Hr meter on it then another of my 126 as a comparison.
