Default Working on the 100

Been wrenching on the 100 quite a bit lately. Pleased with the progress; ready to enjoy it for a little bit before someone else does. It's been split for shifter replacement, I had the fenders sand-blasted and then painted them with Federal Yellow, went through the hydro lift pump and sand-blasted and painted that too, leveled rockshaft and the mower deck and fixed a bunch of little stuff to make it right. Gonna match it up with a CW-36 snow thrower and IH wheel weights and make her available. Should be in the FOR SALE section shortly after this post. I'll give it a 24hr lead here on OCC before it hits other venues. It's a neat tractor and it didn't give me a hard time working on it either. I think everyone should have a 100 in their collection!

Sharp 100, Tom! I agree, everyone should have a 100.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
