450 vs 511 blower
My brother is looking for a 450 blower for his 782. A guy has a 511 blower and says the on difference is the pulley diameter and he has the pulley. Is ther any other differences between them? Thank you.

The only difference between the 451/551 is the gearbox, not the pulley. Many have asked/tried this but to date, I haven't seen anyone successfully make one blower work on the tractor it wasn't intended for. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, for what it's worth I hope someone comes along and corrects me.

The differences are a little more complicated. The 450 and 551 have the same gear ratio, however they do not share the same parts. The 451 has a different ratio then the other two. The 450 and the 451 use the same pulley while the 551 uses a much larger pulley. The 551 input shaft is splined while the 450 and 451 are keyed. The only way that I know of to use the 551 on a 782 is to put the larger PTO pulley onto the 782.
