First Cub Cadet
Finally decided to pull the trigger on a tractor. A 127 that was waiting to be found. Found it local and it had everything I was looking for and the price was right. Came with a model 2 tiller and all the hook ups and belts, A snow blower, wheel weights, chains, and new tires. Minor surface rust, it rolls over but wouldn't start. Maybe from the cold temp and sitting for a while but that can be looked at later. Guy said the engine was a crate motor, identical swap with only 36 hours on it when he acquired it last year. Needs a starter/generator rebuilt but my buddy does that for a living so no issues there. How much of the story he told me is true only god knows, but I pulled the trigger for only $500.

Some photos from tonight. Dark and starting to snow, but it gives you an idea.

It would also seem I am missing a tensioner of some sort on my blower and The shield to cover the gears on it. Hope they are easy to find.

Yes sir it is! I chose it mainly because I found the snow blower someone was giving away So may as well say it came as part of the deal

I live in Dansville about 30 min away, short drive. He has other attachments there but I only needed the tiller and tractor. Still had a 122 and deck also. More of a parts tractor.

I am hoping I can put in a stronger battery, change the oil, clean the tank out, maybe change the plug and it fires up. That snow blower will be nice with all the snow we are going to get. And the seat was in prime condition, not sure if its original but it had no cracks or rips.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
