could also have a crappy connection somewhere that gave out. might want to clean all the connections, including grounds.

Starting a hydro in cold weather really challenges the battery, and all your electrical connections, grounds, etc. I sometimes turn the key to run, and apply jumper cables directly to the starter (ground and Positive terminals) to maximize voltage (and, hence, current) to the starter.
It's only supposed to get down to 14 here tonight. Supposed to be 7 degrees F Tuesday morning, though. That's about as cold as it ever gets there on the Chesapeake Bay (Rappahannock River area). Thank goodness! If you remember the story about the explorer/settler John Smith (of the Jamestown 1607 settlement), when he was stung by a stingray (at what is now Stingray Point) and treated by Native Americans on what is now called Antipoison Creek. That is just a couple miles from where we live.

Went looking for a magnetic heater and every store was sold out, go figure. Anyways I got home and it got up to a warm 14 degrees and the sun was out. Decided to try to start my 127 and to my amazement the slight change in temp was all it needed. I pull the choke and it started right up! Decided to blow some snow in the yard just because I could.

Finally got around to taking some more photos, was almost -30 last week and over 50 today so it was great to get outside. I started everything up without issues and drove them around. Few photos, a little of everything, I also seem to have an extra metal batter/dash that has just some minor surface rust, couldn't tell you where it came from it came with the tractor package deal. Pointed out a piece on the blower, not sure of its purpose, and does the muffler setup seem right? Thought it would bolt but I couldn't tell you, first tractor only had it a month now.

Might also need a new carb, some gas spitting out from under that throttle hook up, you can see where dirt and grime is starting to build up, best price for a new carb if I end up needing one?

Carb looKS fine. That dirt is normal accumulation. Even if it needs work, rebuild it. No reason to buy new unless that one can't be fixed.
Muffler looks fine to me. I'd replace that junk fuel line though. Does it still have a sediment bowl on it? Or did some PO remove it and install a filter? If it doesn't have a sediment bowl, put one on it. Toss the fuel filter in the trash.

That part on the blower you are pointing to is to stabilize the mount when it is removed from the tractor. It locks it all together so that it does not move/flex when it is sitting on the ground, removed from the tractor.
IMG_2176_highlighted.jpg There should be an extra hole near the end of the upper mount bar that you secure to that stud and wing nut on the lower mount. You unscrew the wingnut (circled in red). You take the upper mount arm and remove the end from the tractor side (orange arrow pointing), swing it down to the stud the wing nut was on and then screw the wingnut back on.

The sediment bowl is still on it, no inline filter thankfully, and I'll keep the carb as is for now, it's running good so I'll leave it be.
Thanks for the reply on the blower, I wasn't sure what the purpose of it was, just there doing nothing.
