Slip plate on snow thrower TIP
Coated the entire inside of our QA36. It seems to work well enough, although Fluid Film has been very effective. Here is a tip— If you use slip plate, consider not parking the implement facing the sun (south in our case). It iced up badly when exposed to 10deg snow. Very frustrating when you really want to attack some white stuff.

what is 'slip plate'? Im guessing since you also mention Fluid Film that its some type of penetrating oil?
Ive used WD40 on several occasions but normally I just wipe everything I can reach with an old rag and a little motor oil.

I have used it as a lubricant on the cubs, it doesn't run like other stuff, comes in a can with a brush applicator for small stuff, or you can get it in a spray can.
Fluid Film smells so good you may want to put it on your pancakes. Lanceskene. Slip plate by Allis Chalmers.

Nothing makes a snowblower work better than bare metal. No substitutes. Just like a plow, a nice smooth surface is key! Oil it up before you put it away for the year, and next year it will shine right up. Absolute BEST.
