Default Carb Questions - Keihin - Gasket and O-Ring

I have a Kohler Command 18 in a 2186-48.
Carb appears to be a Keihin
Markings are in two lines
" 24 053 32 "
" 17E UAB "

Took the carb apart and soaked in cleaner for the last week.
Took it out every other day to Q-tip the crevices and blow out the orifices.
All the orifices seem to be free flowing and squeaky clean now.

This is what it looked like before I started the cleaning work:

Two things I noticed on final cleaning that I wanted to ask about.

1) Gasket between top and bottom halves:
Looks like there was some sort of gasket sealer applied OEM as evidenced by the stringy/stretchy residue on the gasket. Was there a gasket sealer applied OEM, if so what is a good alternative that I can use for reassembly?

2) O-ring on jet:
I think this is the jet since it has *48 scribed into it.
Looks like this O-ring is worn out.
Not broken, but stretched and non-pliable.
Is this o-ring replaceable as a standalone part, only found in a kit, or comes with the purchase of a new jet?

Everything else on the carb looks great now. Clean and bad gas free.

If you pull the jet tube out you will find an o-ring on the other end as well. It will likely be trashed as well after soaking in the carb cleaner. They do come in the repair kits but it would be an expensive proposition for a couple o-rings. Any auto stores I have tried don't carry o-rings that small. We have a outfit here called CNY powersports that sells individual carb parts for about any small engine you could think of. Maybe try some small engine places in your area. As far as the sealer on the ring gasket I don't remember mine having anything like that on it when I disassembled it. Maybe the carb had been taken apart in the past.

Scored this document which lists parts for my carb ref#:
60 page Master Document - Kohler Carb Reference Sheet

Only difference I see is the big rubber gasket pictured earlier is not the same as what is shown here.

Pulled the slow jet, lower ring is way worse off than the upper.
Looks like I need qty (2) of the slow jet O-ring - part #36
PN = 24 153 02-S
eBay - $10.31 for 2 is best I can find anywhere.

Kohler owners manual PDF that I found doesn't mention a secondary applied gasket between upper and lower casts.

Wondering if I should use some form-a-gasket just in case..?

All the o-rings you need come in the carb rebuild kit. Kelly said this in post #3. No need to buy them individually. Kits on ebay from $10 and up. Cub cadet wants $72 for the same kit. Look up the part number for the kit on cubcadet.com and plug it into Google. Don't need the 60 page manual for that.

There is NO SEALER on that gasket. That is the same junk that is in the carb. DO NOT put anything on that o-ring. It is to be installed dry. ESPECIALLY not RTV. It turns soft in gasoline. It will flake off on the inside and get in the jets and plug them off. NOTHING on the gasket.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
