I live 45 to 50 miles to the east of Maxwelhse. The only solution I found is mow more often (2-3 days). I haven't found a mower that can handle tall grassThe speed up pulley and gator blades will help.

The grass will stick to the deck easier anytime I mow when it is wet.

Ugh.... Every 2-3 days just isn't gonna do it. 1 time a week is what I'm after. Honestly, if you're that close to me you know that there are times in the spring that you just CAN'T mow more than once a week. WAAAY too wet. Didn't we go like 15 straight days of rain last month? I didn't get a chance to do my FIRST mowing until 2 weeks ago...

The sticking to the deck when mowing wet is one of the things the meg-mo blades are supposed to really help out with.

Sadly, I had some unexpected expenses and can't swing 'em (pun intended) this month. June will be my time and I will certainly let a couple of strips grow TALL to give them a good test!

I was curious as well and ordered a set for my 1512 w/50c deck. And they are no better or worse than a normal non high lift set from the hardware store.
I need to speed up the rpm of the deck somehow because this setup mows like crap compared to the last one (682/50c) but i had a set of gator blades on that one and you could pretty much mow thru anything within reason without going over it again. This mower seems to be running the deck very slow (sound wise) compared to the gasser one.
Im working on a solution.

I'm not sure what modifications you have in mind, but you may just need the speed-up pulley for your deck. I would think a C deck would already have it, but you never know!

Quick and easy to install.

I already ordered one. I am also looking to get a bigger pto pulley. If I can upsize it from the 4-1/2" i have now to the 6" one along with the speed up pulley on the deck i should come close to doubling the my current speed.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
