Sorry for your loss Tim. My grandmother is 98 so I could be in the same boat as you soon.
I know the feeling about talking to people you should be able to but can't.

It's never easy to say good-bye. You loved your grandma and that is a simple, earnest feeling. Don't let ANYONE keep you from doing what you want or need to do! In other words, don't stay away because what might be an awkward situation or a personal hug. 'ole George is right about a hug can be a healing touch and who knows what person or persons YOU will be healing!! The Lord works in mysterious ways and the person outside of the church doors is doing more of His work than the person inside the church doors. You never know how these things just might work out....

Saturday, I was giving the opportunity to speak at a funeral of a teenager who named me as one of her favorite people. It was hard to choke back the tears of someone so young who had passed and thought kindly of me and I didn't know what words to say in those difficult times, but I was honored to do so and after reflecting on her life the words came out. I hope that my words gave some ease to her mom's soul and those present.......we never know, but there is a purpose why you are where you need to be at any time. When life gives you more than you can stand......try kneeling.

I'm glad that you had a chance to know your grandma. My condolences during your loss at this time.

Sorry to hear about your loss! I cant do funerals! My old man died when I was 14 and from the stress of losing my best friend and the man I respected the most in the world I passed out cold at the funeral. I met aunts and uncles that lived less than an hour away from me the whole time I was growing up because of a falling out from before I was born.
I have been to only 2 others since then, my grandmothers and my step fathers. I know enough to stay as close to the door as possible as I start to feel like I am gonna lose control I sneak out the back for a smoke(or 10) please except my sincerest appologies and wish you and yours many happy, healthy years.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family Tim.
I HATE the touchy feely thing as well. Especially those women that have a half gallon of stink juice on, and they feel the need they have to hug me... And sitting in the chair they always hug me around the head, and rub that stuff all over my face... (perfume)
Sorry I can't help you and give you some good advive Tim, but just do your best and like everything else, it to shall pass and just be a memory.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
