Default Not looking forward to tonight.

My grandmother passed away yesterday and the viewing is tonight, that seems really fast but most of the family lives in other states so they're probably in a hurry to get back home. The family had a bit of a falling out when I was younger and its been 20yrs or so since I've talked to most of them, I've managed to luck out and have only ran in to one of them while I was visiting my grandmother on thanksgiving. I guess my problem with this is that I've never been comfortable talking to people I haven't seen in a long time because I never really know what to talk about or they want to ask me questions that are non of there business , I'm much more comfortable talking to a complete stranger at a tractor show. My other issue is that everybody is going to want to hug me and I absolutely hate that, I don't really like people touching me other than a handshake. I just wish I could go pay my respects without all the b.s and drama.

Sorry to hear that Tim. FWIW it's good to try to focus on the good times and memories with her rather than the bs and drama but it's an uncomfortable situation none the less when there's family tension. I hope things go as ok as they can for you.

Sorry to hear about your loss, I just lost my grandmother the weekend before thanksgiving. Opposite to your situation, we aren't having the memorial and burial until this Saturday. It seems like such a long time, but it's so family from far and wide could arrange to come. Thoughts and prayers are with you.

So sorry for your loss! What I would do, if you don't care about ruffling people's feathers and since you don't really have any contact with all of them is go pay your respects, visit with the ones you know and go. That's what I'd do. I'm not much of a touchy-feely person myself. What matters is you loved and cared for your grandma and went and paid your respects. What others think is their problem. People going to think what they want anyways. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers!

First off my condolences on your Gr mothers passing.
Second:
It is proven that hugging is healing process and it stimulates ones body to relax and calming in a stressful situation.
Most people that hug are wishing you well and promoting your wellness, look @ it that way and say thank you, they mean you well.
When I was younger I didn't like hugging either, then I learned.
@ my age, I go to a lot more funerals than weddings.
My prayers @ a time like this, and a guy hug for you, it helps.

Sorry for your loss, Tim. I don't do well at funerals/viewings, I'm usually in and out quickly.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
