We could all take new pics of the same tractors and implements. I think that would cut the boredom factor by at least 30%... By the way I'm not bored in the least and I spend at least 8 hours a day here. Maybe some day I'll get bored with cubs. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

I find this thread to be very entertaining and speaking for my self I have no problem with you guys venting once in a while. Sometime some very good ideas come from these types of threads. I know I'm guilty of the "I'm done" comments. In my defense when someone refuses to take the time to download the manual and read it even when we have posted the link it can shall we say become a bit frustrating. I fully understand that some people do not have mechanical training or experience and that's why they are asking questions. We try to help but they need to work with us, it goes both ways.

If any of you guys have an issue with me please feel free to PM me and we can discuss it. If you'd prefer to talk on the phone send me your phone # and I'll call you on my dime.

Every time I see pics of that 2284 I kick my self for selling it.

Just my 2 cents and I'm sure others will disagree, but to me the 2284 was the last of the best. Ducking for cover now.

Sam it was not my intention to point fingers at anyone it was generalized and if through it being said makes this group stronger im all for it. God knows i dont have all the answers and constructive criticism is what makes us all smarter cause we learn. Kudos to Jonathan for his write up on how to research, take pics and gather info. I value his knowledge and opions greatly! If we all had the knowhow this wouldnt be any fun...it would be like a trip to walmart! And i hate walmart!!!!
In my capacity as a network admin i have a ton of resouces available to me...i am willing to do some research on this particular forum setup to see if there are means available to enhance the search feature. I know as a general search is concerned we type in words lets say hydraulic lift and hit search...the engine looks and returns relavant things to those two words...thats why it is a haugpaug of info and frustrating...google search allows you to surround your criteria with "" in doing this the engine now searches for a string not just a couple words.
There maybe a plugin or addon for this particular forum backend to enhance the search features. Another problem is it searches our threads and LOL no two people ask the same question the same way twice. So it is two fold...but could it be better absolutely...is there a way? Depends on those that created this forum software. Is it beneath me to ask them if there are improvements No! If this is something we want to improve upon Im game to help out to make our site better.

Steve

When it comes to how to make things work with computers I am clueless. Your dealing with a guy that doesn't even use a cell phone. Just got the 2 cans and a string sorted out. I'm sure that you and a couple others on this forum could get together and come up with ways to improve things, just speaking for myself I'm OK with it. I suggest that you work it out with Roland.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
