Ok.... I don't like mice making homes in things either. But nothing really sits in here. I have trouble with that at home in the garage.

Anyone know where I can get a mongoose? Do they just eat snakes? Or mice too. Maybe a cat, and a mongoose.

I'd def take the snakes over the rats. At leas you don't have to worry about a 6ft King snake building a grass nest inside your engine shrouds.

But yeah don't go killing it just because it has no legs and slides along the ground. Get a non-snake-scared person to catch and release for you.

jkier, that's funny!!

skeer, snakes aren't endangered. Nor are they scarce. No season on them, and it's legal to kill them. If it is still here and I find it, I promise, it won't live long. (We don't have a snake bashing icon)

If it were me, first thing I'd do if take roll of the wisea$$'s that have a key to your shop and know you don't like snakes. Or could have been a tag team, two guys in the shop, one talks your ear off, other "checks out" cool projects in the shop. Least that's how I've done it....errr would do it, if I was to play a joke on someone who didn't like snakes.

Bill, this is for you.... funny story. It's kinda long, but ends funny.

Couple of the guys that worked for me at one time, found out I hated snakes. So, of coarse they bought a rubber one. It may have made me jump once, but for the most part, I knew it existed and would find it hiding in my toolbox drawers, desk drawers, in the seat of a car, under the hood.... yadda, yadda. I would just yell, "There's that snake again!!" while they laughed and laughed. Well, the joke kind of faded, and I didn't see the rubber snake for a long, long time. I was working in here late one night, and went into a storage room. In that room is the pit for the drains in the shop. No real top on it, so it's just a big hole. Anyway, I look across that room, and out of some boxes near the pit, was the head of that rubber snake!! I spied it from a long way off. Thought to myself, "Those guys and that damn snake!" as I walked over to pick it up. Unbeknown to me, there was this little frog in the pit. When I bent down to pick up the snake, it chirped. I....... screamed like a little girl and jumped up like a rock star! I had to tell the boys in the morning, who laughed, and laughed, and laughed..... Stupid frog.

I don't like snakes either. I've heard that they don't like moth balls. Mice don't like them either so may take care of two problems at once. Good luck! Or if you can find the mon goose cat! Lol

I'm not sure if I'm as scared of them, as they just make my skin crawl. I don't know how else to explain it. When I see one, I feel like a startled cat. Feels like the hair on the back on my neck stands up. If I see them first, I can deal. It's when I'm surprised by them that I don't like it. Either way, I have no use for them, and they don't live long when I find them.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
