Default IH Radios

On a semi-related note, I've thought a few times it would be cool to mount one of these up on a Cub.

Since this thread has already been derailed half a dozen times, I'm gonna throw this out there...

Betsy claims that when I'm running a tractor, the picture on the television is so messed up she can't see anything. Keep in mind that we don't have "pay television" just an antenna.

Even though I believe what she tells me, I have never seen this myself because if a tractor is running, I'm outside. Maybe someday I'll pull one up outside, leave it run, come inside and turn the tv on to see what happens.

LMAO, maybe I need to put resister plugs in all the Cubs.

Default radio

Wasn't there an optional radio back in the day? I bet it couldn't even be heard over the engine and mower.

As far as I know the IH radio was never an option for the GTs. But you could buy this dandy for your Farmalls and whatnot.

I've thought more than once about adding one to my Cub.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
