Kirk Engines sells "magnetic" drain plugs for $3.00 plus shipping. Works for all K series engines. Seems that is by far a better deal.

You goddah be kidding me! That's a outrage! Man, talk about trying to beat people out of their hard earned money, they can take that and stick it up the waz-zoo.

Yeah I can believe it. I wanted to order 3 driver studs for a 1050 clutch and it was $34.44 apiece for a total of $103.32. Yeah, no thank you. So I did a little research and ended up ordering 3 from Bring Miller for a total of about $15 shipped. Search around, much of there stuff (at least that I've order so far) hasn't been too bad but occasionally they'll try and take you for a ride.

But they are not genuine Cub parts from the dealer.

I think it's the fiber gasket that makes it cost so much. Someone is doing drugs with that price.

Everything these days cost 10 times more than it should. I just had to pay $98 for a 6" three wire pigtail for my GMC truck. All because of a burned connector. Highway robbery!!!

Sounds like what the Pentagon would pay for a washer.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
