Thanks guys. Yes, two of my mechanic friends mentioned the same thing you guys said about the plugs. I'm glad that about everyone I talk to around here and online seems to have a pretty good opinion of Fords.
I've been driving it around quite a bit over the last couple of days and it seems to really run, ride, and handle very well. Sure is a world of difference from my 4 cyl. S-10 when I move out to pass someone, haha. One thing I'm not looking forward to is buying those big 17" tires later on. Shouldn't have to for a year and a half or two, but I know they're not gonna be cheap. I'm on the search for a cap now ... planning on doing some camping in the back of it this year. JT |

Mjs, it was actually a '99 GMC Sonoma, and had perfect original paint & body, and 75k miles. I bought it a year and a half ago for 5500, and sold it for 6200. I hated to sell it, but really needed a full size 4wd. It was a tough decision on whether to sell the GMC or my older Buick, which is also a gem. I kept the Buick.

Boss has the snap on kit to repair bad/broken plug holes, I've done a few- so far so good- but if you soak them a day or two ahead of time usually no problem at all-break loose, tighten, back off, tighten, etc., etc-usually out half turn back in 1/4 add more kroil/pb/acetone-atf/penetrant of your choice as needed. Crank engine over to blow out any extra oil if needed.
problem is the crappy plug design, threads are crimped onto rest of plug. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
