Thanks for the pics, I'm jealous! I can smell the smell of fresh turned over ground in my mind just looking at those pics.

That is my idea of having fun also.

What gear were you guys plowing in if I may ask?

102-P Narrow tires no creeper--42inch deck and IH blade.
102-D Wide tires,creeper,headlights--42inch deck and CW36 snow thrower.
1997-2086 Super with 3 point hitch and all the bells and whistles.
1961-PTE-"O", needs lots of work.
2072-Repowered with a ch18, Woods tractor.
149 with my Dad. 44" deck and QA36A.
#9-70 with weights and sleeve hitch.
#10-149 with a 38inch deck.
2015 Kubota BX 2670.

That's really cool Daniel. Great job on the resto of that old plow, would love to have both the tractor and it. Looks a little chilly already. You guys already get frost? And yeah shotgun, nothing like the smells of some disturbed dirt.

We were plowing in 2nd. Put 'er in granny a few times (1st) to pull out the plow when it unhitched after it hit a rock. Tried it in 3rd but the growth was too thick. There were times when the growth was so thick it was grunting in 2nd. (hence why I now know why the T.A was invented)

Frosted here once already yes. Now the weather guessers are saying the temps are going back into the high 60s. The weather saturday was typical october Michigan weather- overcast, windy, 50s at best, and occasional drizzle.

I really enjoy the simplicity of the trip plows. You pull a rope and BAM it's on the ground. Roll it and pull it again then it's back up again. Built for simplicity. Rods, levers and cranks to reach places you can't reach. No mechanical diodes, wires, etc. No plastic. Built to last. A lot like our cubs. People wonder why I prefer the old stuff.

Thanks, on my GreatGrandDad's old H 2nd gear was completely gone so now I have an idea what speed he used the most lol.
