Just wanted to say thanks to Mark (Yosemite Sam), Jeff in PA, Patton Acres, and Chris Westfall - great service and quality stuff from all these guys. The drive-shaft from Jeff was almost too pretty to paint. All that drive-shaft stuff on my 129 was rigged and re-rigged poorly, so it will nearly all be new going back. Scored a nice rear hydro flange on ePay that is not all wallered out like mine, it's the only part not new. It had several too small too short roll pins inserted into one end, like the guy just kept driving more in?
Should be less scary when back together...some PO had removed the cover (I do have it though), and all that spinning stuff vibrating and flopping around was not real cool IMO. 3600 rpm is not that fast until you think about just where all that stuff points while you are seated on the tractor... |

Thanks. The center locating hole in mine was egg shaped, it was loose on the shaft, and pin hole wallered out. PO had really rigged all this driveline.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
