Merk,

This is really helpful and for me timely. I've been working on a 100. And like my other tractors there are the signs of a few hands that did work on it. Some of which just isn't right. I'm not talking correct police correct, but common sense right. And these pictures go a long way in showing what I need to know.

One of my concerns with this 100 is that it had no brake rod on it. Sure they are NLA but they can be had. I got one. But I'm hoping against hope that it was not removed because the brake was stuck. If I do need to fix a bad brake you can bet I'll be downloading this page to make sure all goes as it should. Thanks for the great contribution.

Glad to see my post(s) are helping a few to work on their Cubs. Changing the O-ring is easy to do. This give the owner a chance to see how everything looks inside and do some much needed maintance.

You dont worry about paint the fins on the cylider wall?? Just qurious!!
I supose we all could go round and round about that!!
Personaly I cant imagine the insulating factor would be real great on paint!?!?Although I supose I could be suprised!!
I will not paint the bearing plate and head thugh!!

Thanks for the comments on the paint.
I'm not worried about the paint on cooling fins. The paint is not hi temp paint. It will burn off if it gets hot enough. My 100 has paint on cooling fins. Haven't burned it off.....yet. The was 2 years ago. I didn't plan to paint part of bearing plate...pain to tape off. I don't paint heads.

I didnt even notice you painted the SMALL section of the rear of the bearing plate!!!!!!
I was just mentioning I "new" not to paint it!!LOLnot a put down
