Frame has the holes. These are the same threaded holes you would use to bolt on your snowblower. Obviously the bumper comes off when the blower is on but can stay on with the deck and mule

Looks great! Don't forget show 'n tell when you're done!
I was thinking of making one this spring. My '95 CC 1641 has the standard bumper but, I think a carry-all of some sort is needed. Hey! Grandsons need their chow while drivin' 'round the property! I'm thinking large enough for a cooler for the little guys and me too! PS. Just removed my bumper for a repaint 'n clean up. Cleaned and painted the yellow frame part also. The 1/2-13 bolts did threaded into PEM nuts (pressed in). Cleaned the threads with a tap, new bolts and lock washers, always Never-Seez on the threads during reassembly.

Any updates? I don't own a bender so Ill have to go to the muffler shop and get them to bend my stock and I can weld it up myself. Looking forward to your final results.

Looks good so far. I can't wait to see the finished product. Someone needs to start making and selling more of these bumpers to help protect these plastic front ends. I could use one for my 2182.

Extreme Motorworks already sells a wide frame bumper for $84.00. It can hold up to 300 pounds of weights.

Yes Extreme does sell a bumper, I could be wrong but from what I can tell it can only be used if you have your mule drive taken off, so It cannot be used while mowing and that's the most important time to have a front "bumper" in my opinion. Extreme's setup is a great looking weight bracket and I like it but does not serve as a bumper when needed most.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
