Default Cub owner from TN

Hey guys. From TN. Got my first cub from my dad when he went to buy a 104 and the guy made him a package deal and sent him home with a 104 and a 1200. Dad gave me the 1200 with mower deck for the house I had just bought. I was wanting to get another for my son (he is 6) since he always sees me, his uncle, and his papa on the tractors all the time and loves them. Figured this could be his first "tractor". My brother, who has a long history of pulling cubs, gave us a 102 that was in the weeds for us to work on. Then at thanksgiving, my grandad heard all of this and decided we needed another project and gave me a 154 lo-boy. Altogether between myself, dad, son, and brother, we have a 102, 104, 106, 1200, 1450, 154 lo-boy, 1864, and a 1250. Look forward to being a part of the group and the wisdom and experience here will be a lot of help since my son and I are still pretty new with them.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
