Looking for a New Sweeper
I've been looking for a good quality sweeper for awhile now, doing a bit of research here and there and all roads point to the absolute authority on lawn sweepers, some guy called Allen Cecil, not sure if anyone has heard of this guy. Apparently he is the God of the Sweep, Guru of Leaves, Slayer of Sycamores. He has forgotten more about lawn sweeping than any one alive actually knows. He is legend.
So, after doing some further research I found that AgriFab actually builds a licenced ACecil-Approved sweeper, for which I am hoping they have paid Mr. Cecil handsomely. Rumor has it that Brinly also tried to get an endorsement but Mr. Cecil has a pre-disposition to orange, that being orange is closer to red which is closer to IH. Sorry Brinly. Here is what it looks like on their website with his endorsment: He is looking a bit scruffy, but serious...since this is a serious machine! Or, he was looking serious because he was wearing shorts in October and he wasn't serious, he was frozen. At any rate, this is a limited time offer so gets yours today! Yes, way too much time on my hands today |

I read this a few times and got a chuckle. Then I saw the photo on the front of the sweeper and lost it. HAHAHA

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
