Greener,
Nice work on the 147.
With the wider tires I moved the brackets and the rubbing rails out on several of the decks. Good job cleaning up this machine for hard use! It will work hard for you for years!
Hope you got some boating in.
Regards,
Chris

Yeah, good job on relocating those. Sums up what I'll do to mine.

Believe it or not, I never took a picture with the deck on, other than the close-ups of the brackets. I did complete it. I then mowed two acres with it and put it away. I love it! But one use and I remembered why I bought a zero-turn. What a difference. But I'm glad to have it as a backup since the zero turn is somewhat unreliable. And I'm saving my pennies for the loader and backhoe I plan to build on it.
I'm on to boat repairs now. I have been helping my neighbor here and there with his newly acquired QL 1450. His isn't in such great shape though. It was hit by a snowplow. I'm trying to get him on this forum but he's not much of a computer guy.
Here's another pic of the 147.

Thank you Allen! You're always a voice of encouragement. I hope others appreciate that about you as much as I do. It seems that this is a very friendly group of people and I've enjoyed this project and sharing it with you all!
I'm going to spend the next few days refreshing the outdrives on my old boat. Once it is at the dock and the wife has a place to go sit in the sun with a cold beer, I'll have some time to think about my next Cub related project!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
