On the 1572 it doesn't appear to have a hole in the internal Rockshaft arm to use the lockout pin like the older wide frames where you could get both push and pull by inserting the lock out pin. With the 1572 having a free floating Rockshaft, it doesn't pull backwards which is needed to lift my snowblower.

QUESTION: Is there a way to Lock Out the 1572 Rockshaft arms so I get both push and pull?
There is a way to lock out the rockshaft arms. Remove the tunnel cover and you will see a nut welded to the rockshaft arm where the Hyd cyl arm pushes against the rockshaft. It takes a 3/4 uss thread bolt to bolt the two together to lock it out.

Brain fart, the bolt is 1/2 uss, takes a 3/4 wrench.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
