Default 882 - QA42A Snowthrower

I need to ask the Guru's-
I recently purchased a 882 and then a QA42A thrower, do these two pieces work and play correctly with each other? I see some threads saying a arm might need to be changes to attain correct lift.
I plan to change out the pulley to the wider one - should I go a little smaller to increase the run speed?
I am looking to get ready for NO snow fall - this will happen if I am ready and lots of snow if I am not ready.
Currently taking it apart to replace the auger bearings - check the gear box and ??
thanks in advance-pete

To use a QA42A on the 82 series tractors, two things need to be done.

(A) Change the Drive Pulley to IH-78055-C2
(B) Change the Upper Link to IH-79011-C1

I need to ask if anyone can supply the lift rod measurement for the 882 - QA42-A application. Got the thrower disassembled, sand blasted and powder coated. New bearings on the auger. Going back together now.
thanks-pete

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
