Default feedback page for sellers

It would be nice to have a place to leave some sort of feedback on sellers. That way when we are buying items from members we don't know we could get some comfort from seeing that they have sold in the past with no problems, or know NOT to buy from them.
It keeps someone from cheating more than one person anyways.

I haven't had a problem so far but...........

I like the idea. Though, all of us here at Only Cub Cadets are pretty good folk. I have made good business with the sponcers of the site. And a good many of folks for parts and attachments. Right at the moment, Dale was kind to rebuild my k241 for my model 72 restore / repower. Heck, sometimes the cubbys even meet up for breakfast!

So far I've bought 2 items from members & happy as can be.

A spring assist for my snow thrower,
& a quick release for a narrow frame,

iMO :

This is not like eBay one does not know who's who.

This is more personalized & a better source.

Nik,

Default Positive

Perhaps if everyone would behave, the moderators will allow a thread strictly for feedback.

I use something I purchased from darkminion_17 a while ago.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
( title line ---Positive---- )
Purchased two K-301 seals from darkminion_17 . Sent quickly and packaged well.
Good guy to deal with.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Short, to the point and if we can keep stray ( non purchaser ) comments out of the thread, it can be a help to everyone on the forum. Just use "Positive" or "Negative" on the title line.

I like a feedback on a the forums. Im a MOD on a Trans Am forum and it works very well.

as long as PM's , emails and phone calls are no longer an option on any bad deals that may happen before bad feedback is left.

the one thing I see on the forum I mod on is that the bad sellers dont stick around long

I like the idea but see a lot of possible problems. On Ebay, it seems like half of all bad feedback is stupidity from inexperienced new buyers or never communicating that there was a problem. On a forum where you can write whatever you want as long as you want, it's really easy to run into arguments and hard feelings and one misunderstanding can "blackball" a member and run them off for good.
Also, this will have to be constantly moderated to ensure unwarranted negative messages about one member from another doesn't occur. This will waste a lot of moderator's time I'm sure they don't want to deal with and start to erode the "family" and "friendly" atmosphere among everyone.

I'm not saying it can't be done, but there's a lot of issues that have to be handled precise and to a T to avoid a whole lot of issues. I buy a lot of my stuff from forum members and occasionally sponsors for bigger orders and am yet to have any issues, whereas on Ebay I've had quite a few issues. I've also sold a lot and (unless someone isn't telling me something) don't think I've ever done anyone wrong either.

I can see this idea going either way. Lots of unknowns and I can't wait to see other's opinions.

I can honestly say I've bought from quite a few on OCC and never had the 1st issue with anyone. Two cubs, both from NY guys, tons of parts from several different members, books, decals, even some freebies.

I think the mods to a pretty good job at weeding stuff out before it gets a chance to get too far along. OCC is pretty close knit once you get on it and the members pretty much speak for themselves.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
