Default A Second Can Change Forever

We all take life and how we live for granted. We go here and go there. We are always running late so racing to get there in time. always too much to do and never enough time to get it done! Never enough hours in the day to finish what we set out to do and to finish those things that came up and we are left with too little time to spend with the loved ones! Many years ago I lost my first son in the middle of the night. I vowed I would spend more time with my family. Eventually in the last year I have gotten too busy again trying to keep bills paid and get some needed things done in the home. To pay for vehicle repairs and schooling supplies and supplies to home school one. But you never know when a second can change forever! Over two months ago Rachel and I had pulled into a store and parked our van. Next thing I knew a ( I will leave this section blank) backed into us. I had just enough time to blow the horn to no avail. Rachel was already half out of the van. Well, it hurt my back. But nothing compared to what has happened to her. It hurt her back which she already had MS. Also screwed up her rotor cuff as well as gave her a concussion. No one fathoms hos serious this can be in such a little fender bender. But that second has changer her life forever. She is moody now and it comes and goes. Her memory is failing. She is much more emotional. She is suffering from post traumatic stress disorder. Which came up and slapper her hard in the face with her past that she has tried to forget about. A past that was far from being fanciful. Actually a past that is horrific. She is totally a changed person now. Sometimes hard to live with. I say this because sometimes she just can not think and comprehend. Just like a child sometimes. Very frustrating for me. Also hard for me to remember and to stop and give the moment a second to think about and to offer compassion. That second that changed forever also has effected myself as well as our three children. A few weeks ago my youngest boy was riding his bike, refusing to wear his helmet. He was on the sidewalk. However a car had parked on the side, so he had to pull out and turn around. He did not see the car. Now did the driver see him. A second that changed forever. At first, everyone thought he was fine other then minor scratches and bruises. But we were warned of a concussion. Well 4 days later we were out fishing and we decided it was time to go home. He started to jump from rock to rock. I told him not to. Just then, he dove head first into a rock. So fast, that I did not even see it! I just saw him climbing back to his feet as fast as he could. A second that changed forever. He stood up, said "Dad, I'm sorry" By then the blood was flowing into his eyes and he began to come to realization of what just happened. I swooped him up and ran to the van. On the way, a shoe broke and fell off. I drove a hundred to the hospital the whole was lights flashing and blinkers on and blowing the horn. We got him there in a very timely fashion. However, the hospital was packed with kids who had fallen and had huge knots on their head. So we waited for over 4 hours before they saw him and stitched his head back together. We were warned again about a concision. A second that changed forever. He is strongly showing signs of either ADD or ADHD now. He is having bad memory lapses. He can not remember what he ate for breakfast, which is ALWAYS the same thing, a pop tart. He could not remember it was the first day of school on Wednesday! Then on Thursday, he still thought it was the beginning of summer, not school! His old behavior has changed. A second that changed forever. In this case, two separate seconds that changed forever. He is not the same child now just like my loving wife is not the same person anymore. We all need to take a moment to slow down and stop taking life for granted! We never know when there will be a second that will change forever. It only takes a second to tell a love one that you love them. It only takes a second to hug your child. A second can change forever!!

My thoughts are with you and your family.

Please take your son and wife to see their doctors and explain their changes to them.

Wife has been around the block twice with doctors! This one says its that. She goes to see that doctor and they say, no its this. she goes to see this doctor and they say nope, I think its this instead..... yada yada yada. One thing for sure, she has the post traumatic stress disorder. I personally think a estrogin shot would chemically help even her out some. We will see. The normal doc for the son said it is nothin to be concerned over. Yes, we are thinking of finding a new doctor again! It certainly IS something to be worried over!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
