Default Category 0 rear mower

It's a 60" 2000 RPM cat 0 Wheel Horse mower. It's a model 5-0900. Picked it up a while ago, just been lazy about showing it off... needs some work but works pretty well! Enjoy!

Very nice Darrell. I missed one of those on CL here a year or 2 ago. Looks like it is pretty well made. +1 on what Tim said.

Thanks guys! It is a heavy outfit! Makes the ole' 982 light on her front feet! I haven't used it much yet but it does cut nice. Trying to get the blades off has proved to be a challenge. Also need to fix the baffles... PO messed them up and moved them to where they aren't doing any good. I was told that I could get parts for it from a Woods dealer... we'll see!

That is really cool. Looks like it needs a bumper with some suitcase weights up front but that's a great size and yes, would like great red or even red/white I think. Congrats on the rare bird.

Thanks guys! Working on a front bumper and weights! I've got a lot of little things to fix before I'll be doing any painting...

Kool, that looks like it'll eat some grass. I'm thinkin, the red and white theme as well. Even if it'll be awhile, can still think about it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
