Default will a 451 snow blower off a 2084 fit 982
I was wondering if the 451 off a 2084, will go right on my 982 with out any mods

Will it fit and work...Yes.

Is it the right one...No.

It will work but not throw the snow as far. I ran a 451 on my 2072 for years.

Nope. Considering the 45" ones are ~250lbs, a larger one would be so heavy you'd need 500lbs on the back just to be able to drive it around.

You need a 450 for your 982. A 451 is the same blower, it just has a different gear ratio in the gear box.
