What color do I ask for? Don't want to get just any old yellow paint.

Majic has IH White, but no IH Yellow. Schoolbus yellow, New Holland yellow, New JD yellow, Caterpillar yellow, and Case Power yellow are all the yellow paint I'am aware of. They also have a IH Red .

I would believe its good paint, but have not tryed any of it yet. I think the rattle cans were going for 5.99 each. I use Cub Cadet paint on my 72 restore.

Theisens has a Van Sickle paint that matches real well. They call them Case colors, but they work well.

It is on 15% reduced sale, so is probably a Valspar paint and will be NLA soon

Majic does make a Cub Cadet yellow. I saw it at TSC a few days ago. The can has a picture of a mower on it and it's called "Power Equipment Spray Enamel". The part number is 8-20944.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
